Holidays
Pat and David went about retirement with some gusto. David became his own internet travel agent and they were soon travelling to the finest cities of Europe, often with their friends Pat and Ray Jones (pictured in Lucerne in 2006), sometime just together.
Despite struggling to walk long distances himself Dad happily acted as SherPA for Mum, me & Maisie Dog on our yearly rambles around the UK countryside, always there at the designated meeting spot even if this deviated from the original plan ( usually did as we walk more slowly than we think) He had an uncanny knack of predicting our whereabouts before GPS was ever invented and a huge talent for detecting the best tea shops.
